With 3 simple ingredients, this Earl Grey Tea Latte is the perfect blend of Earl Grey tea, frothy milk, and a dash of honey. A perfect coffee-house beverage without leaving your home!
Anyone who spends time with me knows how much I LOVE coffee. Like obsessed. Coffee is the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning. I have invested in a rather large mug collection, and may have a few pieces coffee-themed clothing. Coffee is essential…
While coffee will always be my first love, over the past few months, I have been craving tea at night. There’s something about spending my evening sipping on a hot beverage that I find so relaxing. Plus, I absolutely love the flavour of this latte; warmed milk with a subtle tea flavour and a dash of honey, all combine to create a perfect latte.
I have fond memories of enjoying tea when I was younger. Growing up, whenever I would have supper at my grandparents’ place, we would enjoy a cup of tea with our dessert. As a kid, I would add milk and heaping spoonfuls of sugar. Every time I enjoy a cup of Earl Grey, I think back to those memories.
Tips and Tricks:
- My favourite tea is Twinning’s Earl Grey Decaffeinated Tea. When drinking a hot beverage at night, I want it to relax me, not wake me up. You can easily make this tea latte with any of your favourite teas.
2. The Earl Grey tea I use is a lighter tea. If using a stronger tea, the flavour of the latte will be stronger. If you want a subtle flavour, steep the tea for less time.
3. You can choose to flavour this Tea Latte with 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, cinnamon, or nutmeg. You can also make one of my coffee syrups:

Easy Tea Latte is ready in less than 15 minutes!
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 Earl Grey tea bag
- 1/2 tsp. liquid honey you can add more or less to your liking
In a mug, add water. Microwave for 1 minute or until the water begins to boil.
Remove mug from microwave. Add a single tea bag. Allow to steep for 10 minutes. Set aside.
In a glass measuring cup, add milk.
Microwave on high for 1 minute 30 seconds.
Remove milk from microwave. Using a whisk, quickly whisk the milk until a thick froth forms. If you find a froth isn't forming, lift the whisk until you're only whisking the very top of the milk.
Remove tea bag from tea. Add honey. You may also add 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract, cinnamon, or nutmeg. Stir.
(If adding any one of my flavoured syrups to this latte, do not add the honey. To add the perfect amount of syrup, follow the recipe directions for the specific syrup. Recipe links under "Tips and Tricks".)
Gently add the milk to your tea while using the whisk/spoon to hold back the froth. Once milk has been added, gently add froth to the top of your latte.
